Area Support Groups

We really hope you are able to join us at an upcoming FBA meeting. However, since we serve a large geographic area, we know that not everyone will be
able to make it to Washington Crossing.
If you can not attend one of our meetings, we strongly recommend that you find another group that is convenient for you. Being around other breastfeeding mothers is one of the best ways to help strengthen your breastfeeding relationship, and solve any problems that may come your way. Although some groups do charge membership dues to join the organization, you do not need to be a member to attend any of the meetings.
Just like nursing relationships, all groups are different and have their own individual style. Try a few and find one that works well for you!

Nursing Mothers Advisory Council has four chapters – Abington, Doylestown, Mt.Airy/Chestnut Hill, and Warwick/Warminster.
Nursing Mothers Alliance serves many areas in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. They have chapters in Main Line/King of Prussia and Greater West Chester.
La Leche League of Eastern Pennsylvania features a clickable map on their website which makes it very easy to find your local group. Area groups include Yardley/Newtown, Doylestown, Mt. Airy, Center City, Montgomery, and Ardmore.
St. Mary’s Hospital runs twice monthly breastfeeding support groups, which are held in their Parenting Center. For details, call 215-710-5988.
La Leche League of NJ has groups throughout the state; please visit their site to find one near you. Area groups include Princeton, Lawrenceville, Mercerville, Bridgewater/Hillsboro, and Crosswicks.
Princeton Healthcare Systems holds breastfeeding support group meetings every Friday at 11AM in East Windsor. Call 888-897-8979 for details.
RWJ Health & Wellness Center holds a breastfeeding support every Tuesday at 1:30pm. Meetings are held at the The RWJ Health & Wellness Center, located in Clover Square Shopping
Center, 3100 Quakerbridge Road, in Mercerville, NJ. The group meets in classroom 2 & 3. Call 609-584-5904 for more information.
