About Us
|
The Family Breastfeeding Association is an independent, non-profit, volunteer organization which provides support, education, and encouragement to nursing mothers and their families. The FBA is run entirely by volunteer counselors. In addition to taking a two-month course in breastfeeding counseling, all of our counselors have nursed their own children. They have volunteered their time in order to help other mothers have a positive breastfeeding experience.

FBA serves mothers throughout Bucks County, PA and Mercer County, NJ, although mothers from farther away are welcome to call.
Currently, we are based in Hopewell, NJ, and our monthly meetings are held nearby in
Pennington. Several times a year, we also run pre-natal breastfeeding classes, usually held at Babies-R-Us in Langhorne, PA.
We also operate a 24 hour help-line, where mothers can call and leave a message for a counselor.
We are here to help mothers through their entire breastfeeding relationship, from questions you may have pre-natally, through the weaning process. Whether you choose to nurse your child for two weeks, two years, or more, we are here to support you along the way. We believe that every nursing relationship is unique, and that all women deserve respect, honesty, and support as they travel the well-worn path of motherhood.
The FBA does not charge any dues or fees. Contributions in any amount are always welcome, and are fully tax-deductible.
